IO Interactive is working on new IP using Unreal Engine
According to a list of vacancies, IO Interactive, studio in charge of Hitman, is working on a new IP that is not yet announced, although we know that it will use Unreal Engine.
While preparing for the upcoming Hitman season, IO Interactive also appears to be working on a new intellectual property, for which nothing has yet been revealed.
According to a job offer, the Danish studio is looking for a programmer who will be working with a small team of designers, in order to create the initial mechanics of the gameplay of a game made with Unreal Engine.
That’s right, the website of the studio states that they are looking for a game programmer who will “work closely with a small team of designers to prototype gameplay mechanics in Unreal Engine”.
The job vacancy also mentions that “You have solid experience with AI, physics, animation and game mechanics for AAA games and experience from projects on current gen consoles and PC. You possess profound skills in C++ and have experience with Unreal Engine.”
Unfortunately, we do not have more information about this project, but if you’re a fan of Hitman, surely you’ll be thrilled to know that IO Interactive is preparing a new IP that, besides, will be a AAA game. What’s your opinion about it?
Although in 2016 IO Interactive launched Hitman by episodes, the title will continue to receive content during 2017. Previously, the studio worked on Mini Ninjas (2009) and Kane & Lynch (2007).
We will keep an eye out for more news about IO Interactive, which, belonging to Square Enix, may eventually work on one of the recent projects with Marvel Studios.
