Halo game for PC made by Fans

Some supporters of the Halo series tinker on a project called “Installation 01”, which will bring the multiplayer mode of the current parts of Halo series on our PC. This would make it possible to PC gamers, for the first time since Halo 2, again to dive into the universe of Halo on the computer.

Don’t you always wanted to play an actual part of the Halo series on your computer? While players on Xbox One are just diligent on Halo 5 Guardians, some PC gamers (together with owners of other consoles) are still into the tube. But that could soon be closing.

Because a small collective of amateur developers have teamed up. They have started a project they call Installation 01. The plan: A free alternative to the multiplayer mode of Halo series that runs on PC, Mac and Linux. The first video below already shows an apparent runnable project, in which some of the characters (which we see in the Master Chief is very similar, strictly speaking, but none are) at war in outdoor areas:

Planned for the first beta version of the game by the way are “some well-designed maps, and a decent number of weapons and game modes.” Currently the developers indicate that the scale and development time depends on how many other developers are willing to support this project. Whoever wants to can contact the dominions and join at any time during the project. Currently the troops are still looking for reinforcements in the form of 2D and 3D artists and programmers. So far, already arounf 20 people are occupied in the project. This Installation 01 is incidentally better staffed than the next upcoming Skyrim modification of Enderal by the German developer SureAI.

According to the developers, the unofficial Halo is scheduled for completion by the mid to late of 2016.
