Square Enix has dedicated this day of Saturday to Dragon Quest, because it has two titles ready for launch on several platforms during the summer. We already knew the release date of Dragon Quest XI for PS4 and Nintendo 3DS, and now the company has given release date for the previous title, the MMORPG Dragon Quest X for Sony’s PS4 and Nintendo Switch, the latter as a replacement for Wii U.

So Dragon Quest X will launch on August 17th for PS4, and September 21th on Switch, which will appear in the region of Japan. It will be a complete edition, which will include versions 1 to 3 of the game; It will cost 4,800 yen or about 40 euros. As for the monthly subscription, it will be 1,500 yen (12 euros) for 5 characters on PS4, and between 1,000 and 1,500 yen for 3 to 5 characters on Switch. Those interested can sign up at this link.

A beta phase will be launched on both versions between July 19 and August 10, 2017, still in Japan. Everyone who already has an account of one of the previous versions can participate in this beta (it was released on Wii five years ago).

We do not yet have information about a western version of Dragon Quest X on these consoles.
