Nippon Ichi Software recently announced Disgaea Refine, a remake of the first title in the series. The return of the original game for PlayStation 2 was only confirmed for Japan. Fortunately, the game will be located in the West as Disgaea 1 Complete.
The remake will be available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch sometime this fall. Players from America and Europe can get it in exchange for $49.99 USD. NIS America confirmed that the game will feature audio in Japanese and English language.
As for the texts, apparently, they will only be in English and French. If you are a big fan of this classic, then you should know that there will be a special edition of $99.99 USD. The package will include a physical copy for either the Sony or Nintendo console, a disc with its soundtrack, a hardcover artbook, and a 9-pin set.
And if that was not enough, you will also have several cup holders, a mouse pad, 2 posters with the main art of the game, a stuffed cube from Prinny, a certificate of authenticity and a special box to keep all the collectibles. You can check the images of this collection at the top of this article.
If you are interested in adding this special edition to your collection, take into account that it will be distributed through the NIS America online store. Disgaea 1 Complete will retain all the mechanics of the original game, but it will have some visual improvements.
Its graphics were updated to look like the most recent installments of the franchise. At the moment, NIS America has not confirmed if it plans to release new content for the game, so we must wait for more news about it.
