With the arrival of new consoles of the current generation that offer a better experience than the original hardware, the developers received the opportunity to deliver better visual experiences. That said, it is a fact that for some players this means a higher frame rate, while for others it means a better resolution. For that to not be a problem for Anthem, BioWare could implement an option to consent to everyone.
What we mean is that, through Twitter, a fan asked Mark Darrah, executive producer of Anthem, on whether there would be an option to give priority to the frame rate or resolution in this game. Given this, the creative replied that it is something they are analyzing. That said, he clarified that it will only be available on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro.
“We are looking for that on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X,” were the words that Darrah shared on Twitter.
As you see, Darrah chose not to give more details about it and this is normal. After all, it’s hardly a possibility they’re reviewing, so it’s very likely that they do not know what they’re going to do. That said, if we take other games as a guide, chances are that the options are to play at 1080p and 60 fps or 4K and 30 fps. We will be aware and we will inform you when we know more.
Anthem will arrive on February 22 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
We are looking to do that on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X https://t.co/tPNMcCdX2C
